My active practice has allowed me to continue to keep my legal fees reasonable; therefore, I am able to offer  a flat fee of $555 for any District Court case, no matter what I have to do or how many previous offenses you may have. 

I also represent my clients in Circuit Court for a flat fee. However, that fee will depend on the type of case and whether the client wants a jury trial or a trial before a judge.

My practice includes: drug offenses (including possession, possession with intent to distribute,  drug kingpin cases),  wiretap cases,  sex offenses (including sex offenses involving the internet, child pornography, sex offenses involving minors, and rape); burglary and theft, assault (first and second degree), homicide, kidnapping, arson, and traffic offenses (including driving while a suspended or revoked license, DWI and DUI).

I am happy to meet with you in person or talk to you on the telephone to discuss your case and my fee. 

Although I had a general practice for some years, I now practicing only criminal law in order to better serve my clients. (Please refer to my article about this issue.) I lived and practiced law in Carroll County, Maryland from 1989 until 2001 when I moved to the Eastern Shore. I opened a second office on the Eastern Shore in Queen Anne's County,  in 1997.  For my clients' convenience, I still have my Carroll County office in Westminster, and my Queen Anne's County office, as well as an interview office in Anne Arundel County (in Glen Burnie).  

Concentrating on criminal law has given me the opportunity to become familiar with a number of Maryland counties, and in order to better serve my clients, I have limited the number of counties in which I practice. You want someone who knows the battlefield.  If you have a case in a county where I do not often appear, I usually can refer you to an attorney who is familiar with that county's court system and who does appear there frequently.

I have represented clients at every level of the state court system and in federal court in trials lasing from ½ hour to two weeks.  I've participated in cases with multiple defendants, argued search and seizure, improper confession and wiretap issues.
